Arrogance Of Our Politicians

Published by azwriter2008 at 8:07 pm under American Politics Edit This

All I have to say about this is wow.. how could she be so classless and rude.  Those are the people who put her in office! She doesn’t even have the common decency to listen.  Her action is a microcosm of our current political climate in this country. Our politicians expect us to shut up and follow what they say. Screw that I urge anyone who cares about this country to let your voices be heard.  This is democracy and everyone has a right to voice their concern.

Forgive me for asking but did you happen to hear what the person on the other end was saying? I didn’t think so! Who’s to say it wasn’t a personal rant as opposed to a civil contribution? I have no idea and the problem is-neither do you! If you consider that to be a convincing example of a congressman’s ignoring reasonable and respectful opinions, then I must say that conjecture is a problem you should deal with.

As far as the speaker is concerned; though her story is a perfect example of those that are pleased with their present coverage, she neglects to mention that nobody is taking that away from her. If that were the case-maybe you could explain to me why private insurance companies see the possibility of a health care reform plan passing as an opportunity to generate more revenue. Read the latest issue of Business Week to get a better perspective. This “tunnel vision” concerning the single payer by those opposed to reform is really beginning to become quite tiresome. I wonder how many of these “enlightened” objectors are actually aware of the concessions and compromises that are being made. Not to mention the role the Blue Dog Democrats play in the passage of any bill that would not allow for those happy to keep their current plan. It’s time for some new material!

    AZ,
I think you are a reasonably smart guy. But all to frequenty I feel you take a very partisan stand on issues I entreat you, be more true to the name of your blog and take a deeper insight rather than the traditional partsan wrangling you seem to be so fond of, elevate the discourse and make your site what he name advertises. I respect you I don’t mean to insult. But prythee elevate thy standards of debate and reject the partisan quibbling you seem so fond of.

    maxdoubt,

Ill try to be less partisan in my viewpoints. Ill try to be more open to other ideas. The thing is I very passionate about how I feel abou this issue but I hear where you coming from. Thank you for the feed back my friend.

I gotta break with Max and Dean on this one (although not with the partisan part - a moderate perspective is always welcome in my book), that was pretty incredibly arrogant of her, regardless of the situation she was facing. I’ve taken a lot of flack for attacking the dems too, but when they do things like this what else do you expect? With the mainstream media dicking around and whatnot it’s up to us to report on these kind of things.

Interesting video and good post my friend. I always enjoy your postings, even when I don’t necessarily agree with them. Hope things are going well with you, and stop on by - I miss your commentary.

    Take it easy bud,

    -Travis

    skwguitar,

Thanks for the support man. I think politicians in general have this view about us regular folk. This video didn’t make it on any mainstream news channels that I know of. Given the publicity of these townhalls you would think this would have made some sort of news. I agree that it is up to us to spread the word when the elitist media fails to do their job. I think that our “mainstream” media lost the crediblity as fair and objective a long time ago. To be honest I get more and more of my news from blogs like yours and other talented writers on today and elsewhere.

Btw.. someone has to stand up to the dems right lol? I get a lot of heat from them but its all good. I think they have some valid points but I still have serious reservation about the democrats methods. Every thing is going pretty good with me bro. How about you? I thouhgt you abandoned you blog. Its good to have you back man, I like your postings. Always very insightful and well written. Keep up the good work.

    Take care,

    Robert

did you see that at another town hall meeting she arranged for a doctor “Plant” to give her a big congratulatory speech and then Ms Jackson gave her a big hug. Turns out the lady was no doctor at all, but an Obama delegate.

    vrajavala,/
No i had no idea, do you have video of that? It doesn’t suprise that she would do something like that. These politicians always are trying to pull the wool over our eyes. I sick and tired of crap like this.
