Vote For REAL Change
I finally decided to jump off the Obama/Biden bandwagon today. After weeks of defending him in my blogs, I have decided that I can’t do it anymore. I like Obama but I can’t bring myself to vote for him. His tax policy was one of my main concern. I don’t believe that the policy of higher taxes on businesses right now is the solution out of this economic mess. My economic philosophy is that if you raise taxes on businesses, there is going to be less money for them to spend on other important things like infrastructure or expansion/job creation. The last thing we need right now is more taxes on top of a faltering economy. I believe that the economy will recover in time, sooner or later because it always does. Government needs to get out of the business of trying to manage the economy it just makes things worse.
I honestly believe that both parties are corrupt and should not be in power. I am sick and tired of Democrats and Republicans being in power year after year. When its all said and done both parties share the same core principles of globalism, military intervention, and taking our money to do what they want. Tell me do any of you believe in these principles? Do you believe that you are a “Global Citizen”? I sure as hell don’t. Last time I checked I was a citizen of Arizona and the United States. The idea of globalism has to go in my opinion because all it leads to is confrontation and suspicion of others. This leads me to my next question.
Why is the United States always in everybody business? I don’t care what other countries are doing. We have too many problems here to worry about whats going on overseas! The Republican and Democrats both advocate continued intervention in the world, which means more borrowing and more problems. America does not have to be the world’s policeman. How can we go around the world “protecting and spreading democracy” when we can’t protect it here? i.e open borders and voter suppression. I would like a government and a President that worried more about this country’s well being and not that of others. Isn’t that what our government is supposed to protect?
I feel like our government cares more about the people in other countries than they do about us. I say this because of the horrendous amount of money that is spent overseas on foreign aid. For example, The U.S. Agency for International development or USAID for short, spends billions of our dollars on aid to foreign countries. For what! The USAID claims that it is trying to stimulate economic growth and self-sufficiency in the areas that they provide aid but in reality it does the opposite. The aid that we provide usually creates a dependent relationship with us and the country receiving aid. Our aid dollars provide an dis-incentive to be self sufficient because we give them everything. Our tax dollars create a ”global welfare system” because our government willingly gives our hard earned money away to countries that need to fix their own problems. These countries being dependent on our aid drags down our economy and stifles our development. The government does not have the right to spend our money as they see fit. I would hope that most people would agree with me when I say that our money needs to stay in the pockets of American workers and businesses not the government. I want a change from all this madness!
If want a real change vote for a third party candidate like I did. If you like military intervention and a global welfare system vote for a Republican or Democrat. I voted for Bob Barr because I believe that he truly represents a change to a better future for America.
