Who Hates Paying Taxes?

Published by azwriter2008 at 6:56 pm under Events around the world Edit This

Who hates paying taxes? If you answered yes, your not alone!  The talk of new tax policies by the two Presidential contenders is confusing and not exactly fun to listen to.  When Barack Obama and John McCain discuss their respective tax policies they always revert back to their party lines. “Republicans give tax breaks to the wealthy and don’t care for the middle class, or “Democrats want to raise taxes and spend your money.”  Either way we get ripped off!!  Behind all the double talk, all they are really saying is give me your money so I can spend it crap we don’t need!  This talk about cutting pork-barrel spending is a joke.  Once the election is over, things will just go back to normal in Washington for another four years.

I have the perfect solution to pork barrel spending.  How about they let us actually decide what our country needs instead of them telling us what we need!  Here is my solution to this whole tax mess, when it comes time to pay taxes, there should be a list of federal government programs/institutions you can choose to support with your tax money for example the CIA or the FBI.  This would cut wasteful spending 100% because who knows better than the people who actually work for a living!  If a program/institution didn’t get the proper funding through the taxpayer, it would be obvious that people thought the program/institution was not vital to keep around.  This would also force our government to be more fiscally responsible because they won’t have a blank check to rely on every year.  What do you guys think of this simplified tax policy?

I would love it…. but it’ll never happen.

Ha Ha NO WAY! There are reasons why our tax policies are the way they are. Just think how that oversimplified plan of yours could be used for corruption. Yeah it would be nice to choose but the average American is not up to date on federal and state tax regulation. America collects over 7 trillion in taxes and your advocating that the average joe take responsibility for all that tax money. NO WAY!

We don’t get ripped off with republican tax policies, it’s giving back control to the people to decide how and when to spend their money. How is it a lose situation when you lower taxes. Bush’s tax policy lowered taxes for corporations and wealthy people, didn’t increase any taxes for the middle class and still raised more tax revenue than Clinton’s policies in real dollars not nominal dollars. The problem is government spending. Get government spending under control and stop spending billions and billions of dollars overseas where there is no benefit to the American people.

Choosing where your money goes would be a great idea, but it can’t work. Look how many people are against the military. How many Americans would allocate their taxes to pay the military? Or the IRS, people hate the IRS, but they perform a very important service of making sure that people do pay their taxes, and don’t commit fraudulent acts. How many people would support that kind of program.
