The Deep Insight

With the stock market falling almost 800 points in one day, what do our elected officials do about it? Nothing! except cry about how their feelings got hurt by some silly speech.  Apparently, Nancy Pelosi gave a “hyper partisan” speech before the vote on the bailout bill, which swayed some Republicans not to vote for the bill. Minority house leader John Boehner was the one talked to reporters about the Republican position after the vote. Boo hooo!! So what if Mrs. Pelosi gave a partisan speech, they need to get things done! If this financial situation is such a crisis why don’t they put the American economy before their own ideologies and self interest. I say to Washington pass the bill already or stop complaining about the economy because you sure as hell aren’t doing anything to fix the problem!
