Just give it up already…

Have you seen the latest television campaign ad by John McCain?  For those who have not yet seen it, brace yourself because you might just fall out of your seat!  The ad that aired today I presume essentially stated that Barak Obama is just a celebrity and not a person ready to be the leader of the United States.  The ad tried to justify their claim by comparing his name recognition with the likes of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton of all people!  Is John McCain running a serious campaign here?  Is this the best that the McCain camp can counter with after Barak Obama comes back from a very successful trip overseas?  Need I remind you that it was Mr. McCain who goaded Obama to go overseas and now that it backfired on them, they can’t stand it.  Barak Obama’s celebrity is an asset and not a liability because people know who he is.  This in turn will make people want to know more about him, which can turn into more votes for Obama.

Mr. McCain campaign surrogates also complained  about how Obama was acting “too presidential” during his trip overseas.  Last time I checked both men were running to be elected president of the United States?  I believe looking “presidential” would be key when running for president.  By their own admission Mr. Obama looks presidental, so what does McCain look like? Irrelevant!  This latest campaign ad is further proof that McCain campaign will become a mere side-note by the fall.

I don’t know if I agree, but I think Obama might have his number.
